Equipamento Comercial de Ramalde - Porto
O pedido consistia na criação de um “espaço conceptual de mobilidade suave” num lote existente, pertencentes ao proprietário a CUDELL, com 4.900 m2 de escritórios e de armazéns situado num terreno com 5.900 m2, na Área Empresarial do Porto (antiga Zona Industrial de Ramalde). Centrado numa nova ligação pedonal de ligação franca entre a Zona Empresarial de Ramalde e a respetiva estação do Metro.
A área de Ramalde é Empresarial, embora tenham alguns elementos marcantes é maioritariamente constituída de continuidades, uma malha constante e reminiscente do tecido industrial com um conjunto uniforme de pavilhões, a maioria de grande escala e similares em usos, forma, altura e materiais (leves). Neste contexto uniformizador, entendemos que para responder ao solicitado pelo programa de concurso de criação de uma nova classe de edifício, quer no seu uso e sobretudo conceito, excecional no tecido existente deveria corresponder também a uma exceção na forma da nova imagem a criar. Um edifício que fosse mais escultural, formalmente excecional e por esta via claramente destacável da sua envolvente (uniformizada por pavilhões /contentores industriais.)
Este edifício assume assim um caracter de equipamento de apoio urbano, marco diferenciador dentro do tecido existente, genericamente uniforme, da antiga zona industrial de Ramalde e a este nível simbólico na sua forma exterior.
Efetivamente procura-se reformar esta área de carácter industrial criando uma paisagem urbana, conferindo identidade de caracter metropolitana , com um conjunto complexos de espaços construídos e não construídos excecional no seu uso e forma a remeter para uma imagem de identificação contemporânea.
Todos os sectores diferenciados têm espaço exterior /interior próprio:
- pátios encerrados em muros e parcialmente cobertos com as áreas pedidas que permitem abrigar dos ventos e chuvas dominantes.
Os edifícios virados à sul têm também proteções solares em palas e prevêem-se outras formas de sombreamento.
The request consisted in the creation of a "conceptual space of smooth mobility" in an existing lot belonging to the owner of CUDELL, with 4,900 m2 of offices and warehouses situated on a plot of 5,900 m2 in the Business Area of Porto (former Zona Industrial de Ramalde ). Centered on a new pedestrian connection of free connection between the Ramalde Business Zone and the respective Metro station.
The area of Ramalde is a Bussiness area, although it has some remarkable elements, it is mostly constituted of continuous construction, a constant mesh and reminiscent of the industrial fabric with a uniform set of pavilions, most of large scale and similar in uses, shape, and materials (light ). In this unifying context, we understand that in order to respond to the requirements of the competition program for the creation of a new class of building, whether in its use and above all, exceptional in the existing fabric should also correspond to an exception in the form of the new image to be created. A building that was more sculptural, formally exceptional and by this way clearly detachable from its surroundings (standardized by industrial pavilions / containers).
This building thus assumes a character of urban support equipment, differentiating milestone within the existing, generically uniform fabric of the old industrial area of Ramalde and at this symbolic level in its external form.
Effectively seeks to reform this area of industrial character by creating an urban landscape, conferring identity of metropolitan character, with a complex set of spaces built and not built exceptional in its use and form to refer to an image of contemporary identification.
All the different sectors have their own exterior / interior space:
- Patios enclosed in walls and partially covered with the requested areas that allow to shelter from the prevailing winds and rains.
South-facing buildings also have solar paddles and other forms of shading are expected.
